Jerrion Ealy, the biggest piece of Ole Miss football’s 2019 recruiting class, will suit up for the Rebels in the fall after foregoing the MLB Draft.

When the 5-star RB out of Jackson Prep committed to the Rebels in February, many wondered if he would ever play a snap for Ole Miss as he was thought to be one of the nation’s top baseball prospects as well.

The MLB Draft began yesterday, and after falling out of the first round, the two-sport star told teams that he intends to stay at Ole Miss, according to ESPN.

In his senior year at Jackson Prep, Ealy helped lead the Patriots to a state title while rushing for over 1,500 yards with 24 touchdowns. He then went on to be named the MVP of the Under Armour All-America Game in January, rushing for 116 yards on 19 carries with 2 TDs.

ESPN is also reporting the Ealy will continue his baseball career at Ole Miss.
