An elderly Mississippi Gulf Coast man who was the subject of a Silver Alert has been found dead.
The Pass Christian Police Department reports that 82-year-old Madhi Suluki, who was reported missing on Monday, was found deceased in a wooded area near his home Tuesday morning.
Suluki, who is said to have suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, was last seen by neighbors on Sunday afternoon while he was taking a routine walk. The Silver Alert, a notification to bring public awareness to a missing adult with cognitive impairment, was issued the next day after the elderly man had not been spotted returning home.
Authorities in Pass Christian received assistance from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department, Harrison County Fire Service, Pass Christian Fire Department, Mississippi Urban Search Rescue Task Force, and Mississippi Emergency Management Agency in searching for Suluki.
At this time, no foul play is suspected in his death.
