More than 10,000 alleged fentanyl pills and over a pound of alleged methamphetamine were seized at a barbershop by the Tupelo Police Department, along with other illegal narcotics.
One week ago, Tupelo police executed a search warrant at Spectacular Cuts on Tupelo Commons Drive, later finding the alleged drugs disguised in Sour Patch Kids packages. Agents also seized a large amount of THC and psilocybin edibles from the business.
Three suspects, including 41-year-old Marqcus Shan Jernigan, 29-year-old Jeremy Stephan McGee, and 37-year-old April Michelle Huddleston, were arrested and charged with aggravated trafficking of fentanyl and aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine.
The following day, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Sumner ordered Jernigan held without bond. On Sunday, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir ordered McGee held without bond and set Huddleston’s bond at $150,000.00.
This investigation is ongoing and more arrests are anticipated. Each of the suspects will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
