Tuesday will be partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the upper 70s. More showers and thunderstorms are expected tonight, with locally heavy rainfall possible. Lows will be in the lower 60s.
Southern Mississippi
Today will be mostly cloudy with showers, thunderstorms, and highs near 80. Showers and thunderstorms will continue tonight with locally heavy rainfall possible. Lows will be in the mid to upper 60s.
Heavy rainfall is forecast for northern and central Mississippi on Tuesday night, and additional heavy rain is possible through Thursday. According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday night will have the greatest threat for flooding. They’re predicting 4-8 inches of rain in some areas, with locally heavier amounts. Minor to moderate river flooding is also possible.
In addition to the heavy rainfall threat, there could be a threat of severe weather. The primary concern is damaging winds.
