Southern Mississippi
You may see areas of patchy fog this morning. Expect showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon with highs in the lower 90s. The highest heat index readings will be from 100-103. More showers and thunderstorms are possible tonight with lows in the lower 70s.
Severe storms are likely along and northwest of the Natchez Trace corridor starting this afternoon and into the night, and possibly to the southeast of the Natchez Trace.
The main threats are damaging wind gusts up to 70mph, large hail up to golf ball size, and tornadoes.
