A pair of tobacco and beer businesses in Mississippi were raided by law enforcement, resulting in three arrests for the alleged sale of illegal drugs.
According to a release from the Senatobia Police Department, a months-long investigation into 51 Tobacco and Beer and Senatobia Tobacco and Beer culminated in the arrests of Sultan Alsnei, Ismail Shahtera, and Abdulrahman Shahtera.
The three males are now facing charges related to the sale and possession of illegal narcotics and conspiracy to commit crimes.
The search warrants were served on May 29 with officers seizing “two dozen large boxes of evidence, several thousand dollars in cash, five vehicles, and a motorcycle.” The Mississippi Alcohol Beverage Commission assisted with the operation.
“Thank you to all the officers and other personnel who assisted with getting these dangerous drugs off the streets and worked hard to keep our neighborhoods safe,” Senatobia Police Chief Richard Chandler said.
The release added that, in addition to the drug charges, Senatobia Code Enforcement and Senatobia Fire Marshals found several violations within the businesses.
The investigation remains open and could result in additional seizures and arrests, according to authorities.
