One fatality has been reported after severe weather struck north Mississippi on Saturday morning.
According to Gov. Tate Reeves, the fatality happened in Lafayette County after a tree fell on a vehicle near Delay Road. The name of the deceased has not been released.
As of Saturday afternoon, 23,000 people were still without power.

Reeves added that the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency is in close contact with local emergency managers and will continue to respond as necessary.
