Mississippi’s two Division III football programs, Millsaps and Belhaven, have announced their schedules for the 2025 season.
The crosstown rivals will continue the tradition of starting the season against one another in the annual Riverside Rumble on Thursday, Sept. 4. Last year, Millsaps reclaimed the sword with a 23-21 upset over Belhaven, who was then coming off the program’s first playoff appearance. This year’s game will kick off at 7 p.m. at Belhaven Bowl Stadium.
Afterward, both teams will go their own ways in nonconference play before picking up conference action. Millsaps competes in the Southern Athletic Association and is led by second-year head coach Brandon Lechtenberg. Belhaven competes in the USA South and is led by second-year head coach CJ Nightingale.
