Mississippi-based telecommunications giant C Spire has announced it’s teaming up with “eero,” an Amazon company, to launch a new home WiFi service.
The service, called C Spire Connect WiFi, is designed to provide faster speeds, broader coverage, and enhanced security features for households across Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Tennessee. Backed by C Spire’s fiber infrastructure and powered by mesh WiFi 7 technology, the system can deliver symmetrical speeds of up to 8 gigabits per second with 99.99% reliability. Each eero device covers about 2,000 square feet and can connect hundreds of devices.
“C Spire has a legacy of bringing advanced technology to our customers that delivers optimal connected living experiences, and the collaboration with eero is the latest example of that,” C Spire’s senior vice president of strategy Lee J. Webb said.
The service offers tailored bundles for different needs, including entertainment, remote work, smart-home management and family safety. Features include low-latency performance for gaming and streaming, whole-home coverage for video calls and file sharing, and parental controls designed to help protect children from online risks.
C Spire first introduced parental control capabilities through its Connect & Protect service in 2023 and has now expanded those protections as part of the new WiFi bundles. More information about C Spire Connect WiFi is available here.
