Looking to find a state job? Well, you could soon be in luck. The Mississippi Department of Employment Security announced Thursday that the Mississippi State Agency Job Fair will be happening next week.
On Thursday, Sept. 25, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., the Mississippi Trade Mart will be lined with representatives from more than 25 state agencies ready to engage with job seekers.
“The Mississippi State Agency Job Fair is a great way for Mississippians who are looking to find a job, a better job, or make a career change, to have the opportunity to network with key people in the employment community,” Gov. Tate Reeves said.
Attendees will be able to discuss their skills and experiences with hiring personnel who will aim to help them find suitable positions. Visitors are recommended to “dress for success” and review the list of participating agencies and their job openings before the event. A full list of participating employers can be found here.
Copy machines and scanners will not be available at the job fair, so attendees are asked to bring plenty of resumes.
