A man believed to be connected to a string of burglaries across multiple Mississippi counties is behind bars.
Following an investigation, deputies with the Grenada County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a home in Holcomb on Nov. 14 and took Da’Kiren McCuiston into custody. McCuiston is charged with three counts of burglary of an automobile and trafficking stolen firearms.
While the search warrant was being executed, police confiscated 25 stolen firearms, including a fully automatic gun. Authorities also recovered 15 Nissan key fobs along with a programmer for the devices. The items are believed to have been stolen in place in Grenada, Lafayette, Pontotoc, and Clay counties.
McCuiston is currently being held in the Lafayette County Jail.
