A Rankin County teenager was killed Sunday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash, according to the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies, along with fire and emergency medical personnel, were called to the area of 1185 Monterey Road around 1 p.m.
Investigators reported that 19-year-old Collin Avery Knight was ejected from a Ford pickup truck after the vehicle rolled over multiple times. Pafford ambulance services transported Knight to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he later passed away.
The Rankin County Sheriff’s Department Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
