Be careful on the roads this morning. According to the National Weather Service, areas of dense fog could reduce visibility to below a quarter mile in parts of Mississippi. Northern Mississippi
Today will be partly sunny with areas of dense fog in the morning. Highs will be in the upper 60s. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with lows in the lower to mid-50s.
Central Mississippi
It will be mostly sunny today with areas of dense fog in the morning. Highs will be in the mid-70s. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with lows in the upper 50s.
Southern Mississippi
Today will be mostly sunny with areas of dense fog in the morning. Highs will be in the upper 70s. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with lows near 60.

Severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph, and a brief tornado are possible Friday into Saturday for portions of central to northwest Mississippi. A severe threat is possible in isolated areas of eastern to southeast Mississippi.
