A suspect has been arrested after police say a road-rage shooting happened at a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Flowood.
According to the Flowood Police Department, the incident occurred Saturday night at the restaurant on Lakeland Drive near Treetops Boulevard. The suspect, Kyle Maurice Ramos, is believed to have followed the victim into the parking lot. Ramos allegedly shot the victim in the foot, but the bullet did not make it past the victim’s steel-toed boot. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was not injured.
Ramos’ arrest was announced roughly three hours after the shooting. The 39-year-old from Jackson is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Ramos is being housed at the Rankin County Jail without bond and awaiting an initial appearance in the Flowood Municipal Court.
