Leake Academy has announced the passing of one of its students.
Officials with the private school in Madden announced the death of Mason Moore, a high school freshman, on Wednesday. He was a member of the Rebels’ junior varsity football team.
“Our school family is grieving the loss of one of our own Freshman students, Mason Moore. His presence will be deeply missed by classmates, teachers, and staff,” an official statement from the school reads. “During this incredibly difficult time, we extend our heartfelt prayers and condolences to Mason’s family and loved ones.”
School officials ask the public to keep Moore’s family and friends in their thoughts and prayers at this time.
