A Minnesota fugitive charged with multiple child sex crimes has been captured and arrested in Mississippi.
U.S. Marshals, with assistance from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, apprehended Elijah York at a Natchez home on Wednesday. York was wanted on multiple felony warrants out of Minnesota, including first-degree sexual misconduct of a victim under the age of 14, use of a minor in pornographic work, and assault.

Authorities confirmed that the warrants were extraditable nationwide and that the defendant had previously failed to appear before the court as required. York is currently being held in Mississippi pending extradition back to Minnesota.
“The Adams County Sheriff’s Office extends its appreciation to the United States Marshals Service for its leadership and partnership in this operation,” Sheriff Travis Patten said.
Officials have not confirmed when York will head back north to face justice.
