Legendary rock band Chicago won’t be taking the main stage at the Brandon Amphitheater on Friday. Instead, the group’s concert has been moved back two days due to expected inclement weather in central Mississippi.
Officials with the outdoor venue announced Thursday that the show is being moved to Sunday as a result of “the threat of severe weather.” The National Weather Service forecasts a 100% chance of precipitation in Brandon on Friday night, with wind gusts as high as 20 miles per hour.
Self-described as a “rock and roll band with horns,” Chicago was formed in the late 1960s and is best known for songs “Saturday in the Park,” “You’re the Inspiration,” and “25 or 6 to 4.”
The band will appear on stage at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
All tickets purchased for the original date will still be valid for the new performance. Those who have yet to buy a ticket can do so by clicking here.
