Northern Mississippi
It will be mostly sunny today with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the lower 90s. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms. Lows will be in the upper 60s.
Central Mississippi
Today will be partly sunny, with patchy fog in the morning and a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the lower 90s, with the highest heat index reading from 100-102. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with possible showers and thunderstorms and lows near 70.
Southern Mississippi
Today will be partly sunny with patchy morning fog and a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the upper 80s, with the highest heat index readings between 100-102. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with possible showers and thunderstorms. Lows will be in the lower 70s.

Severe thunderstorms are possible Tuesday afternoon and evening across northwest Mississippi. According to the National Weather Service, the primary hazards are the possibility of damaging wind gusts as high as 60 mph, and hail the size of quarters.
