A Lafayette County woman is behind bars after four of her children reportedly tested positive for drugs.
Nydia Hudson, 28, faces four counts of felony child endangerment. Officials say her charges stem from a July 1 document indicating that she and her underage children had illegal substances in their system. Authorities did not specify which drug was allegedly detected.
On July 2, Hudson was located at her residence in Lafayette County and taken into custody without incident, the local sheriff’s office stated. She was transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center. Hudson later appeared in court and is being held on a $10,000 bond.
Authorities did not state who currently has custody of the children, nor did they report any injuries to the youth linked to the substances. This case remains under investigation.
