A man allegedly behind a Christmas Eve double homicide in Mississippi is now facing two counts of capital murder.
The Jackson Police Department said that Dennis Summers, 24, has been locked up. Smith is accused of killing Rodney Gilbert Jr., 22, and George Smith Jr., 20, on Lynn Street this past December. Authorities say both victims were shot multiple times and died as a result of their injuries.
Smith was denied bond, meaning he will remain behind bars until sentencing. In Mississippi, a capital murder charge carries the death penalty.
