After months of trials, Chick-fil-A’s new rumored menu items are finally making their way to stores nationwide for a limited time.
Beginning Aug. 24, fans of the popular fast-food chain can enjoy the new chicken & waffles sandwiches. The seasonal sandwiches will feature a signature Chick-fil-A filet, three strips of applewood smoked bacon, and honey butter spread on maple-flavored waffles, served with a side of syrup.
They will be available as a small breakfast option– available during standard breakfast hours from opening until 10:30 a.m. – and are roughly the same size as the chicken biscuits. They will also come as a lunch or dinner entrée using the regular chicken sandwich filet – available from 10:30 a.m. to close. Guests will have the option between regular, grilled, or spicy filets for the chicken & waffles sandwiches.
Along with the sandwiches, two seasonal treats will also debut – the s’mores milkshake and s’mores frosted coffee. The milkshake blends Chick-fil-A’s signature ice cream with chocolate shortbread, graham cracker crumbles, along with marshmallow-flavored syrup and marshmallow whipped topping. The frosted coffee will feature the same ingredients, with the addition of cold-brewed coffee and no marshmallow whipped topping.
The seasonal menu items come as part of Chick-fil-A’s ongoing “Newstalgia,” a campaign celebrating the company’s 80 years of quality, service, and care by serving up a twist on Chick-fil-A classics, like the now-permanent frosted sodas and floats.
“In this year of Newstalgia-inspired celebrations, we wanted to bring something unique this fall by reimagining the comforting flavors our Guests crave this time of year, delivering a taste that feels both familiar and new to appeal to all ages,” Director of Menu and Packaging Allison Duncan said.
“Both Chicken & Waffles and S’mores are much-loved classics, and we challenged ourselves to bring those flavors to our menu in a playful and unexpected way,” Duncan continued. “After seeing the incredible response and excitement from Guests in our test markets, we couldn’t wait to share these flavors nationwide.”
The 48 Chick-fil-A locations in Mississippi will begin selling the seasonal menu items on Aug. 24, but it remains unclear how long the items will remain available.
