The city of Ridgeland will host its second annual pecan festival this weekend after rain washed out the event’s originally scheduled date earlier this month.
According to Explore Ridgeland, the city’s tourism arm, the 2026 Ridgeland Pecan Festival is set for Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Freedom Ridge Park. More than 60 vendors will offer pecan-themed items and other goods.
In addition to pecan desserts and other trees using the nut, the free festival will feature live music, family-friendly activities, a kids’ zone, a farmers’ market, and local artists demonstrating their work.

The festival was originally scheduled for Oct. 10 but was postponed because of rain.
In 2025, as part of its 125th anniversary celebration, Ridgeland officially designated the pecan tree as the city tree. Freedom Ridge Park also features a historical marker detailing the history of pecans in Ridgeland.
