Get ready for an action-packed day at The Ranch! This Saturday, the Madison community is invited to “A Day at The Ranch” to enjoy a family-friendly event starting at 1 p.m.
The event promises an entire day of entertainment featuring live music from local bands, delicious food, and refreshing drinks. The Ranch’s outdoor space, known for its festive charm, provides a perfect opportunity for families to come together, unwind, and enjoy quality time in a relaxed, lively setting.
The day’s festivities start with an array of kid-friendly activities. Children can hop on a scenic hayride that winds through The Ranch’s property. Back at The Ranch, kids can play games like corn hole, get their face painted, or visit the animal area.
“We’ll take families on a 15-minute trail ride across a mile and a half of our property,” The Ranch owner Austin O’Kelly said. “Our animal area features about 60 or 70 animals, ranging from traditional farm animals like pigs, goats, and horses to exotic creatures like emus and miniature Bohemian Kune Kune pigs.”
Guests of all ages will have opportunities to pet and take photos with the animals, making it a memorable experience for everyone.
Live Music and Local Talent
For music lovers, the day will feature performances from two beloved local bands. At 3:30 p.m., Silk and Steel will kick things off with an energizing set, bringing a blend of rock and country to the stage. Later in the evening, the Hunter Gibson Duo will take over at 7:00 p.m., filling the night with their piano, guitar, and soulful harmonies.
Food, Drinks, and Festive Treats
Guests can also enjoy a delicious selection of food made right on-site. The Ranch’s full menu includes an assortment of delicious options, along with tempting desserts for those with a sweet tooth. For adults, a selection of craft beers and refreshing seltzers will be available, ensuring there’s something for everyone to sip and savor.
“For our food, we do a famous brisket grilled cheese sandwich that is always super popular, we have chili, hamburgers, hotdogs, BBQ chicken sandwiches, nachos, fries, and an assortment of desserts. The menu is always a really big hit,” O’Kelly said. “Everything we make is pretty much in-house from scratch.”
Affordable Family Fun
Admission to “A Day at The Ranch” is free, making it accessible to all. Families can purchase activity tickets for $15 to give children all-day access to games, rides, and animal encounters, making it easy to enjoy the full spectrum of activities without additional costs.
“I’m trying to create an atmosphere of fun for the entire family in Madison that everyone can afford,” O’Kelly explained. “Our plan is to have some type of event for every season.”
