The LEGO scene in Mississippi continues to grow, with the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science’s newest exhibit coming later this month and using the popular toy bricks.
“Sean Kenney’s Animal Super Powers Made with LEGO Bricks” will bring a plethora of skillfully crafted animals to life in the Jackson museum. For nearly 15 years, master LEGO builder Kenney has brought his creations to millions of people in more than 100 cities worldwide. From polar bears to Venus flytraps and tree frogs made of LEGO bricks, guests can view a wide variety of creatures from across the animal kingdom.
The exhibit will provide a way for visitors to learn more about the “superpowers” each animal possesses and the role they play in survival. Kenney’s creations aim to highlight these animals and the specific advantages they possess to live in the harsh world of the wild.
“Chock-full of science, beautiful artwork, interactive displays, and hands-on play areas, Animal Super Powers is an experience that draws attention to nature and the unseen world around us,” the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science Foundation wrote on its website.
The exhibit will be at the museum from Sept. 26 to May 2, 2027. Tickets for kids 3-18 are $7 while the adult ticket price for admission is $9. Members of the museum get in for free.
