Dan M. Gibson is the 44th Mayor of Natchez, Mississippi. First elected to office in 2020. He was reelected four years later by unanimous vote, the first time a mayor ran unopposed in Natchez in over 100 years. With historic economic growth now happening together with a more complete telling of the Natchez story, “this shining city, the oldest city on the highest bluff of the mightiest river” as Dan likes to say, is quickly becoming a model for what can happen when people put aside their differences and work together.
