Layne Bruce is the executive director of the Mississippi Press Association. He joined MPA in 2006 as director of marketing and was named executive director in 2007. A native of West Point, he began his career in the production department of his hometown newspaper, the Daily Times Leader. He later served as a reporter for the Starkville Daily News, publisher of The Star-Herald in Kosciusko, and as editor and general manager of the Glasgow (KY) Daily Times.
