Authorities searching for 2 inmates who escaped Gulfport crisis stabilization unit

Police are currently searching for two inmates who escaped from the Crisis Stabilization Unit in Gulfport on Monday night.

According to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, 33-year-old John David Newcomb and 25-year-old William Marcus Hieronymus escaped the facility on foot around 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 20.

Newcomb has been described as being 6’4″ at 225 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. Hieronymus is said to also have brown hair and hazel eyes while standing at 5’11” and weighing in at 155 pounds.

Officials are asking anyone who has information regarding the escapees’ locations to contact the Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers online or over the phone at (1-877) 787-5898.
