Mississippi’s lone Minor League Baseball team is already gearing up for next season as the Biloxi Shuckers announced its full 2026 schedule on Tuesday.
The Shuckers will play 138 games next year with 69 of those taking place at Keesler Federal Park in Biloxi. When the first pitch is thrown, it will make for the 11th anniversary of the Milwaukee Brewers’ Double-A squad calling the Mississippi Gulf Coast home.
The 2026 season begins on the road against the Rocket City Trash Pandas (Los Angeles Angels) before the team’s home opener takes place on April 7 against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (Miami Marlins). The Shuckers’ longest home stand of the year will include 12 games in 13 days between Aug. 25 and Sept. 6 and includes matchups on Labor Day weekend.
Biloxi will play 81 of their 138 games against South Division opponents, including 30 games against the Columbus Clingstones (Atlanta Braves), 27 against the Blue Wahoos, and 24 against the Montgomery Biscuits (Tampa Bay Rays). 57 games will come against North Division opponents, including 18 against the Birmingham Barons (Chicago White Sox), 15 against the Trash Pandas, 12 games against the Chattanooga Lookouts (Cincinnati Reds), and 12 against the Knoxville Smokies (Chicago Cubs).
While the Shuckers are on the tail end of the 2025 season with a playoff spot clinched, general manager Hunter Reed encourages fans to go ahead and mark their calendars for next season with plenty of promotional games already being planned.
“Not only are we excited to finish our 10th anniversary season with a chance to win our first Southern League title, but we’re already planning for a fun-filled 2026 season in Biloxi,” Reed said. “We’re looking forward to 69 fun-filled dates at Keesler Federal Park, including July 3 and 4 as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday.”
