Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with more than 20 auto burglaries reported on the campuses Belhaven University and Millsaps College, the Mississippi Department of Public Safety announced Wednesday.
The incidents occurred early Tuesday morning when multiple vehicles were broken into and one was reported stolen.
Hours later, officers with the Capitol Police Department spotted the stolen vehicle traveling on Pear Orchard Road and conducted a traffic stop. The driver and passenger, both juveniles, were wearing clothing that matched the descriptions of the suspects. Stolen items were also recovered from inside the vehicle.
The two were taken into custody without further incident. Their names have not been released.
