The honors are rolling in for players from Mississippi schools after a big weekend of college football.
Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss was named SEC Offensive Player of the week after a top-10 win over former head coach Lane Kiffin and his LSU Tigers. Chambliss completed 33 of 48 passes for 363 yards and 2 touchdowns in the game. He added a 14-yard score on the ground, a touchdown that, in-part, sealed the victory for the Rebels.

Mississippi State’s Amaree Williams was named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week after the Bulldogs beat South Carolina 41-34. Williams had 10 tackles and a sack in the matchup, and played a crucial role in Mississippi State coming back from a 16-point deficit to earn a road victory.

On the coaching front, Ole Miss head man Pete Golding was named the Bear Bryant Awards National Coach of the Week.
Ole Miss and Mississippi State will continue conference play this coming Saturday. The Rebels travel to Florida for a 2:30 p.m. CT matchup. The Bulldogs will host Missouri for a 6:45 p.m. CT contest. Both games can be listened to on participating SuperTalk Mississippi stations.
