The Mississippi man reported to have crashed into Hollywood superstar Jennifer Aniston’s front gate is now facing criminal charges.
Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced that Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, 48, of New Albany, is charged with felony stalking and vandalism after wrecking his vehicle into the entry gate at Anniston’s house in Bel-Air on Monday afternoon. Carwyle is also met with an aggravating circumstance of the threat of great bodily harm charge.

According to a report from NBC News, a police scanner audio said the suspect “drove the vehicle through the front gate” before a private security guard had him “proned out in the driveway” at gunpoint until police arrived. Between March 1, 2023, and May 5, 2025, Carwyle is accused of repeatedly harassing Aniston and sending her unwanted social media, voicemail, and email messages.
Social media posts from an account verified to be Carwyle and obtained by SuperTalk Mississippi News show the suspect posting often about Aniston and even calling the famous actress “his wife” and “bride.” He even used the account to use derogatory language against the famous “Friends” cast member.

“Stalking is a crime that can quickly escalate from harassment to dangerous, violent actions, threatening the safety of victims and our communities,” DA Hochman stated. “My office is committed to aggressively prosecuting those who stalk and terrorize others, ensuring they are held accountable.”
Prosecutors in California have asked the local court to set Carwyle’s statutory bail at $150,000. If the Mississippian is convicted, he faces up to three years in prison.
