The city of Brandon has announced plans to begin construction on a $45 million project, which is set to include residential and retail space.

Officials gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the project’s construction site on Tuesday before unveiling plans to create “The Heights at Brandon.”

The new location will feature an 82-room full-service boutique hotel, 92 luxury loft apartments, approximately 18,000 square feet of retail space, and three restaurants.

“Beautiful morning in Brandon as we announced an incredible new development here,” Reeves wrote on social media. “Multi-family housing. Restaurants. Retail. A hotel. And more! Going to be another great addition to Rankin County!”

Developers with the Thrash Group stated that the area is expected to draw in people who attend concerts and events at the Brandon Amphitheater, as well as be a convenient location for future residents.

The project is anticipated to generate over $100 million throughout the next decade once construction is complete.

Construction is scheduled to begin within the next few months, with the full development set to finish in 2025.
