Mississippi was impacted by yet another round of severe weather Sunday night with the Weather Channel reporting the possibility of over a dozen tornadoes.

The most significant damage appears to be in Calhoun City and Tupelo with images emerging this morning showing the destruction left behind by the storms. Drone footage from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office gives you a view from above with Sheriff Greg Pollan stating that light poles were snapped off, trees fell on homes & vehicles and several businesses have been damaged.

In Tupelo, WTVA is reporting damage to homes and downed power lines. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported at this time.

Crews are now working to restore power to customers in the area.

The Weather Channel shared a video of a tornado passing over a highway in Yazoo City.

As damage assessments continue, additional details will likely be announced by the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency. Unfortunately, there may not be much time to rest as weather officials are warning that more severe weather may be present in Mississippi Tuesday.
