Former Jones County Junior College and current Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett won’t be the only Mississippi connection featured in Monday night’s College Football Playoff National Championship.
As ESPN continues to phase back in its famous “This is SportsCenter” campaign – a fan-favorite commercial series that launched in 1995 before coming to a sudden halt in 2019 – The Fighting Okra from Delta State is set to make an appearance in the network’s newest spot, “Performance Evaluation.”
The commercial showcases SportsCenter anchors Elle Duncan and Kevin Neghandi meeting with the feisty vegetable as the two explain that some of the network’s other employees aren’t too thrilled with the attitude The Fighting Okra brings to work.
The Okra’s face says it all.
This is the second installment of the return of “This is SportsCenter” with the first coming during the Orange Bowl two weeks ago.
No. 1 Georgia and No. 3 TCU will kick off in the CFP National Championship at 6:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.
