All driver’s service bureaus in Mississippi will be closed on Wednesday.
The Department of Public Safety reports that the closure will be linked to training and maintenance. Those looking to update their driver’s license or change of address, among other functions, at a driver’s service bureau, will not be able to do so in person. Online services will remain available on Wednesday, however.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” a statement from the agency reads.
All offices will reopen for normal business hours on Thursday.
Back in February, driver’s service locations statewide faced closures and lingering issues related to a system update, leading to long lines and slower-than-usual accommodations linked to the update. Since then, those delays have been rectified.
