A drug-possessing naked man was arrested at a fossil park in Mississippi.
According to the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department, deputies received a call July 25 “about a naked man” at W.M. Browning Cretaceous Fossil Park in Frankstown. Upon arriving, they found the man in question to be Donald Richey Hatfield, 57, of Booneville.
Hatfield was clothed and charged with indecent exposure. The sheriff’s department also noted that potentially illicit drugs were found in Hatfield’s vehicle, which could lead to more charges once results are returned from the crime lab.
“Sheriff Tolar and Deputy Kolby Knight found a felony amount of hydrocodone in the vehicle,” a press release stated. “A small amount of methamphetamine was found, and more charges are possible pending the crime lab analysis.”
Hatfield had his bond set at $5,000. Narcotics agent Grady Smith will present the case to the next grand jury, according to the release.
