A former Booneville High School basketball coach is facing a third charge for committing sex crimes against a minor.

The latest charge against Kenny Paul Geno alleges that the former coach attempted to coerce an underage female to send him nude photos.

According to the federal indictment, Geno committed the crime from May 2019 to around April 2021.

He is also accused of videotaping a sexual encounter between himself and a minor in 2022 and asking an underage female to send him nude photographs.

Court records allege that on April 1, 2022, Geno coerced a minor into engaging in sexually explicit conduct “for the purpose of producing any visual depiction of such conduct knowing and having reason to know that such visual depiction would be transported.”

From January 1 until September 1, 2023, Geno is alleged to have had sexual activity with a different minor.

Geno was a part-time assistant coach at his alma mater until earlier this month when the superintendent informed WTVA that he was no longer employed by Booneville High School. He helped both the boys’ and girls’ teams to state championships in 2022.

Prior to returning to Booneville, Geno played college basketball at the University of Georgia, where he averaged 11.7 minutes and 1.8 points per game over four years.

He was originally granted a $10,000 bond but has remained behind bars due to a pending revocation hearing, which will be in court on November 2 in Greenville.
