A former Corinth Middle School teacher will spend five years in prison for using artificial intelligence to make porn involving students.
U.S. District Judge Glen Davidson sentenced Wilson Jones on Monday, after the defendant’s sentencing had been delayed a week. Jones pleaded guilty to one count of possessing child pornography in November 2025. While serving as an educator, he used images of eight female students to make “deepfakes,” or inauthentic representations of students engaging in explicit acts.
Jones was employed as a Cyber Foundations and Computer Science and Engineering teacher at the middle school until November 2024. While Jones was on site, IT staff at the educational facility were notified that sexually explicit content had been downloaded to his computer. Jones was then reportedly allowed to “quietly resign” from his post, which prompted tensions to flare and for Corinth School Superintendent Lee Childress to be removed from his leadership post.
Though Jones resigned in November 2024, the Mississippi Department of Education was reportedly not notified of his actions until late January 2025, and law enforcement was not notified until a month after that, which is when a criminal investigation began and resulted in the former educator’s arrest. For this, Childress was not only fired but also indicted on the charge of withholding information of a crime, though he was ultimately cleared of any criminal misconduct.
As for Jones, the ex-teacher told investigators that he neither recorded the victims nor took pictures of them. Instead, he used photos from their social media accounts to create the AI porn. In addition to his prison time, he has been ordered to serve five years of supervised release and register as a sex offender.
