The names of four fallen Mississippi police officers have been added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington D.C.

  • Special Agent Bradley John Harris, U.S. Department of Homeland Security – ICE, Mississippi (EOW: 12/26/2020)
  • Lieutenant Michael Anthony Boutte, Sr., Hancock County Sheriff’s Office (EOW: 02/01/2021)
  • Deputy Sheriff Thomas Patrick Barnes, Jefferson Davis Sheriff’s Office (EOW: 04/10/2021)
  • Trooper John Martin Harris, Mississippi Highway Patrol (05/28/2021)

Each year, hundreds of names of officers killed in the line of duty are engraved on the walls of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. The names are then read aloud during the annual Candlelight Vigil to memorialize those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
