If you’ve ever considered a career as a lineman, this could be the program for you.

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Mississippi Power have been working together to offer a free, 13-week Lineworker program.

“The Lineworker program offers an excellent opportunity for individuals to receive outstanding training in a high-demand, high-paying industry,” MGCCC Executive Vice President of Teaching/Learning Dr. Jonathan Woodward said. “It is a win-win for individuals looking for a great career.”

The one-semester training program includes specialized instruction in certification areas required by the electrical power industry. Upon completion, students will be ready for an entry-level position as an electrical power line installer or repairer.

Applications are currently being taken as classes begin on September 6. Click here to find out more.
