Grammy Museum Mississippi will soon welcome famed country music singer Randy Travis to the museum in Cleveland for a night of open conversation with those in attendance.
“An Evening with Randy Travis” will take place Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 7 p.m. in the Sanders Soundstage. A reception with food and drink will be held beforehand at 6 p.m. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, July 16, at midnight.
Travis is a seven-time Grammy winner with No. 1 hits like “Forever and Ever, Amen,” “On the Other Hand,” “I Told You So,” and “Hard Rock Bottom of Your Heart.” His career has spanned over four decades and has included numerous honors such as a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and a 2016 induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
“We are honored to welcome Randy Travis, a true pioneer and one of the most beloved voices in country music, to our museum,” Grammy Museum Mississippi executive director Emily Havens said. “From his groundbreaking debut to a career filled with chart-topping hits and cultural impact, Randy has helped shape the very sound of modern country. We are excited to celebrate his legacy with this intimate and unforgettable evening.”
Travis will be joined at the event by his wife, Mary, and special guest James Dupré. Dupré, who was named one of Rolling Stone’s “Country Artists You Need to Know” in 2016, will perform during the evening.
The event is sponsored by Needle Specialty Products with additional support from SuperTalk Mississippi Media, Visit Mississippi, SouthGroup, Robinson Electric, Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, and Regions.
