A Greenville man has turned himself in, admitting to law enforcement that he pulled the trigger in a shooting that killed a woman on June 25.
According to the Greenville Police Department, Rodney Haney walked into the department on the morning of June 26 and voluntarily surrendered, telling officers he had shot a woman on Alexander Street. He has since been charged with murder.
Haney told investigators that he and the victim, Minnie Coffey, had been in a “dating relationship” for around four years but declined to provide any additional details without an attorney present.
