Operations have returned to normal following an investigation into a bomb threat that was reported at the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport and Stennis International Airport early Thursday morning.

The airports were included in multiple other locations across the state that received an emailed bomb threat, as well as the Tupelo Regional Airport.

Authorities released that although the threat did not appear to be credible, the airports requested all visitors and passengers screened by TSA to vacate the premises. Those in arriving planes were also asked to stay in place until the security sweep was complete.

All departures and arrivals at the airport were temporarily paused due to the security issue, but have since been returned to normal operations. Any passenger whose travel was affected is encouraged to contact their respective air carrier.
