Now that Cruisin’ the Coast is officially over, crews are beginning to turn Gulfport’s Jones Park into a winter wonderland.
A family-friendly holiday tradition dating back to 2015, the Gulfport Harbor Lights Winter Festival returns to the Mississippi Gulf Coast this year, featuring millions of themed lights, amusement rides, photos with Santa Claus, and an on-site train.
This year’s festivities will run from Nov. 28 through Jan. 2, giving the public a chance to enjoy Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s in what could be described as a Hallmark movie scene. In fact, the annual holiday display was featured in the 2017 Hallmark movie “Christmas in Mississippi.”
Tickets to Harbor Lights will go on sale on Nov. 1. They can be purchased online or in person at Jones Park.
