Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones has confirmed that Raymond Detention Center escapee, 34-year-old Casey Grayson, has been confirmed deceased.

An unidentified black male was discovered dead in a vehicle at a truck stop in New Orleans, La. on Sunday. Further investigation identified the deceased individual as Grayson.

The cause of death uncertain is pending autopsy.

As for the other suspects, 22-year-old Dylan Arrington was killed in a standoff with police and 51-year-old Jerry Raynes was detained in Texas.

22-year-old Cory Harrison is the lone escapee who remains at large. Jones says the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office is working with other law enforcement agencies to locate Harrison’s whereabouts.

Sheriff Jones believes the fugitive is no longer in the central Mississippi area nor the state in general.

Anybody with information regarding the whereabouts of Harrison is asked to contact law enforcement.
