Independence Day Weather Rundown: 7-4-19

Here’s a quick rundown of the weather today across Mississippi.

In north Mississippi, mostly sunny skies expected today with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. Highs will be in the lower 90s and the highest heat index readings will range from 100 to 102. At night, mostly cloudy skies more rain chances. Lows will dip down into the lower to mid-70s.

In central Mississippi, mostly sunny today with showers and thunderstorms possible in the morning and afternoon. Temperatures will reach the lower to mid-90s and the “feels like” temperatures will be anywhere from 100 to 105. In the evening, partly cloudy with possible showers after midnight. Lows will be in the mid-70s.

In south Mississippi, sunny skies today with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will climb into the mid to upper 90s and the highest heat index readings will again be in the triple digits and range between 102 and get as high as 107. Tonight, expect partly cloudy skies with lows dropping down into the mid-70s.
