An investigation has been launched after an inmate was found dead at Parchman Friday morning.
As reported by WTVA, prison personnel found 30-year-old Earnest Williams unresponsive in his cell. He was then taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Williams, who was booked in May 2021, on possession of methamphetamine. He was scheduled to be released in May 2025.
A cause of death has not yet been determined.
