The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department is mourning the loss of one of its own.
Major Michael Robichaux passed away Sunday evening after battling cancer. He retired in 2015 after serving with the department for 43 years.
Robichaux was a strong firearms training advocate. Friday, the new firearms training center in Moss Point was dedicated to him.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
