A man is in jail for allegedly shooting and killing his father in Mississippi’s capital city.
According to the Jackson Police Department, 20-year-old Donald Hartwell, Jr., opened fire on his father, 67-year-old Donald Hartwell, Sr., in the 4700 block of South McRaven Road on Tuesday.

The son was arrested on Wednesday and charged with his father’s murder.
