Law enforcement in Jones County is investigating after an apparent murder-suicide took the lives of a husband and wife.
According to WDAM, the couple was reported dead by the Ellisville Police Department early Tuesday morning after the bodies were discovered at 504 Dobson Street.
Authorities were called to conduct a welfare check at the residence. Upon arrival at approximately 5 a.m., the deceased bodies of 38-year-old Terrance Coney and 33-year-old Nichole Coney were spotted by officers.
The preliminary cause of death has been attributed to gunshot wounds. The deaths are listed as domestic violence murder-suicide.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
